The American Women's Club of Zurich is privileged to maintain the largest English-language Library in the Zurich area. Fully volunteer run for over 80 years, the Library at our Clubhouse features an extensive collection of fiction, nonfiction and audio books for all ages, as well as DVDs available for rental.

Closed Thursdays and all Swiss public holidays.

WHAT'S ON THE SHELVES!
Our dynamic collection includes over 7500 books, DVDs, and other resources for our patrons. For adults: award winning fiction and nonfiction, travel books, biography, classics, reference materials and Swiss history. For children: picture books, easy readers, juvenile and young adult fiction and nonfiction with an extensive US history selection. An expanding selection of audio books on CD for all ages is also available. Our DVD rentals (both code 1 and code 2 formats) include popular titles in action and adventure, drama, comedy, family, documentary and television series. New items are added throughout the collection each month, with special features for holidays.  Check out what is new this month!

"FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY" SUBSCRIBERS
Individuals wishing to use the AWCZ Library but not eligible for AWCZ membership may become "Friends of the Library" subscribers. A 12-month subscription is CHF 75. Stop by during regular opening hours to complete an application or for more information.

OUR LIBRARY STAFF
The AWCZ Library is fully staffed by a team of regular and substitute volunteers who "man the desk." On an ad hoc basis, volunteers are asked to assist with special Library projects. Help! STORY HOUR
A story hour for Moms and Tots is hosted each month, generally the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 in the Children's Room at the Clubhouse. See Kid's Corner for more information about special events and activities for children.
