Every year, we hold the following events: |
Club KickoffThe kickoff is our first big event of every Club year, where we meet up with old friends and new acquaintances. We also preview the fun-packed new season of all the opportunities, activities, and events the Club has in store! Open HouseCome learn about the AWCZ and the activities and interest groups we offer throughout the year. Exhibits, presentations, light snacks, and fun to be had by all! The general public is welcome. No reservation or membership required. | Workshop weekOur workshops include professional and personal development, wellness, cooking, arts and crafts, and more. They are presented in English and open to both AWCZ members and non-members. Workshop Week is a great way to learn more about the AWCZ and to make new friends. Interested in teaching a workshop? Please get in touch with our Development Chairperson. Birthday TeaAs the snow covers the Alps and chilling winds gust through the city every January, we celebrate our founding day with a tea and camaraderie. |
Holiday Celebrations |
4th of July PartyMost years, we join in a party with the AICZ to celebrate US Independence Day. All are welcome to join! Kids Corner Halloween PartyOur annual costume party for children, hosted by our Kids Corner committee and featuring crafts, games, storytelling, trick or treating, and even a "Haunted House." All proceeds benefit a local charity.Kids Corner Easter PartyOur annual Easter celebration for kids, hosted by our Kids Corner committee. We make Easter crafts, play games and music, read stories, and of course, have an Easter Egg Hunt! All proceeds benefit a local charity.Photos with SantaWe offer children a special chance to visit with our American Santa, take a professional photo with him, share their dearest Christmas wishes, and receive a small goodie bag. | ThanksgivingWe host a traditional family-friendly potluck dinner every November at the Clubhouse, where delicious dishes and cherished memories come together in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Christmas MarketOur annual Christmas Market fundraiser brings a wide range of vendors of gifts and products into the club for a festive winter market. Christmas Luncheon
This is a festive event and an opportunity to celebrate the holidays with other Club members. You can also participate in a fun ornament exchange. There is an apero followed by a delicious three-course lunch. |
