The American Women’s Club of Zurich is privileged to maintain one of the largest English-language libraries in the Zurich area. Fully volunteer run for over 85 years, the Library at our Clubhouse features an extensive collection of fiction, nonfiction, audiobooks, and DVDs for all ages.
Usage of the library is included in an AWCZ membership.

We are closed on all Swiss public holidays.
The Library will be more open as Switzerland reopens from loosening the latest COVID measures. We hope to be able to add opening hours on Mondays and Thursdays soon.
What's on the shelves
Our dynamic collection includes over 7,500 books, DVDs, and audiobooks for our patrons. For adults, we have award-winning fiction and nonfiction, travel books, biography, classics, reference materials, and a Swiss themed section. For children, we have many picture books, easy readers, juvenile and young adult fiction, along with nonfiction with an extensive US history selection. Audio books on CD for all ages are also available. Our DVD (both code 1 and code 2 formats) include popular titles in action and adventure, drama, comedy, family, documentary, and television series.
New items are added throughout the collection each month, with special features for holidays. Members can request specific book purchases for the library.
