The Sleeping Beauty ballet was first premiered at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg in 1890. The music was composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1889. The original production of The Sleeping Beauty by Marius Petipa belongs to one of the most beloved classical ballets and continues to be celebrated into the new century as a timeless classic.
In tribute to classical ballets, Yen Han Ballet Productions' pre-professional dancers along with invited guest soloists will perform excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty of Marius Petipa and other classical repertoires. Our pre-professional program was built to support local youths who seek guidance in becoming professional dancers and artists. Our dancers have furthered their career paths in other prestigious schools and companies around the world. Come join and support us, and see the young talents that Switzerland has to offer.
