Kids Corner and Living in Zürich present our next educationally-focused event with consultants from Find My Swiss School:
Find My Swiss School is here to help you find the right schooling pathway for your child.
The Swiss public school system is a schooling jungle - the system is multifaceted, there are no school rankings, afterschool care is like a puzzle, and don't forget about the gymnasium exam. What about private international school options - how to choose, when are good transition points, and what is the law about attending a private international school for no longer than 5 years?
Confused yet? Then join this presentation and workshop where you can learn more about your schooling options - both public and private- understand key transition points, unpack misinformation, and find out tips and things to consider on your child's schooling journey.
This event is a webinar and the link will be sent the day before the event to registered participants.
FIND MY SWISS SCHOOL’s co-founders and Senior Advisors, Pascale Baumgartner and Sandra Hueskes, want to find the right education path for your family.
Pascale is Swiss and the person that all her close friends call about schooling. Pascale's passion for education, her interest in finding a bespoke solution, and caring approach are genuine. Pascale stepped back from a high-level career as an international tax and estate planning lawyer to pursue her vocation for nonprofit organizations. Pascale served for several years as Trustee on the Board of ZIS Zurich International School and is currently Board Chair for FOUNDATIONS FOR LEARNING, and a Board Member of FOUR GIVE Foundation. Her son, now in University, has attended both private and public schools in Switzerland.
A Canadian and British national, Sandra relocated to Basel with her family in 2019 from a high-level career in fundraising in New York City. Sandra has two boys in Swiss Public School, both of whom transitioned from an international school in Basel. Throughout this process, Sandra learned that navigating schooling in Switzerland is not so straightforward, especially in a foreign language. Sandra grew up all over the world and has first-hand experience changing schools, changing between curriculums and settling into new places.
