On Sunday, June 29, 2025, we will plan a family hike through our lovely, local trails from 12.30-3pm+ 1) Starting point Robinsonspielplatz, Witikon at 12.30pm: we will have a picnic lunch, or bring your own food and supplies to grill and (we will start small BBQ that you can join). We will depart the playground by 1.30pm
2) Elefantbach (Elefantweg/Grillplatz, 850m ~20min walk down hill with kids): we will hike down the hill over to the Elefantbach in search of our local elephants, and spend time playing in the water. We will depart by 2.30pm
3) Pfadiweg: we will hike down to the pfadiweg, an amazing local trail along the Wehrenbach. Early departure point is at Balgrist Tram Stop (3pm)
4) Witikon: continue along the pfadiweg, through the forests up to Witikon. This is an uphill hike, leading us to the Old Church and a beautiful vantage point, and then back to our starting point at Robinsonspielplatz. In case of too hot weather, we will take a shorter route over the Segentenweg back to Robinsonspielplatz, Witikon. We are happy to welcome all ages, family members and friends. The first half of the hike is mostly downhill, but please note that only parts of this trail are stroller friendly and you will need to manage over tree roots and stairs (so a baby carrier might be more convenient). We will be sticking to groomed trails only.
