Nervous System Regulation through

Red Light Therapy & Mindfulness

by Dina Holzapfel

This workshop explores how regular red light therapy sessions can support the brain and nervous system in returning to a state of balance, safety, and optimal function.

We’ll focus on the nervous system as the control center of the body - how chronic stress, inflammation, and overstimulation keep the brain locked in survival mode, and why this directly affects sleep, mood, focus, emotional regulation, and long-term health.

Participants will learn how red light therapy interacts with the body on a cellular level, supporting mitochondrial function and cellular energy (ATP production) - particularly in neurons, which are among the most energy-demanding cells in the body. Improved cellular energy allows the brain to regulate itself more efficiently, reducing stress load and enhancing resilience.

We’ll also discuss how red light therapy can help reduce neuroinflammation, improve cerebral blood flow, and support nervous system recovery - creating the conditions for a calmer baseline, improved cognitive clarity, and a more regulated stress response.

We’ll dive into why regular sessions matter, how repeated nervous system down-regulation retrains the brain over time, and how this can shift someone out of chronic fight-or-flight and into a more stable parasympathetic state.

This workshop connects neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and modern red light therapy - offering a grounded, accessible understanding of how calming the nervous system is not a one-time event, but a trainable biological process.

Join Dina Holzapfel, CEO of red. - the world’s first elite red light therapy and mindfulness studio. With a background in engineering, neuroscience and entrepreneurship Dina bridges science, longevity and personal development with her mission to support you in living your best life.
