From Alps to Atelier: a Swiss textile story
by Lisa Mason
This workshop offers an introduction to Switzerland’s textile heritage - from early linen production and hand-weaving in Appenzell and St Gallen, through the rise of cotton and silk manufacture in Winterthur and Zürich, culminating in the renowned tradition of St Gallen embroidery. We will reveal how centuries of skill and creativity helped Switzerland weave its place in the global textile history.
Registration/Cancellation Deadline: March 17, 2026
